At RI, most H2 lectures will be conducted online, with a flexible viewing schedule for students. This enables time to be freed up for a mid-week Gap Day on Wednesday. No timetabled lessons will be scheduled on Wednesday, and students need only report to school if they have CCA or enrichment activities on that day.
Students are to use the time on Gap Day to engage in self-directed learning. They can view pre-recorded lectures, complete assignments, arrange for small-group consultations with their teachers or pursue their own passions and interests.
Gap Day encourages students to take greater ownership of their learning, and develop self-management and independent learning skills.
